Christmas Season 2020

Services this Advent and Christmastide

Below are listed the Services which are planned for this Advent and Christmas. As we hardly need say, these are all subject to the rules and regulations that may be in force to keep the pandemic under control.

The numbers of people allowed into the Cathedral space will be limited by the regulations, so we will be introducing a pre-booking system. We regret that this may lead to some people being unable to attend, or people being turned away at the door. We plan to hold the traditional  and ever-popular ‘Nine Lessons and Carols’ on two consecutive days.

If you wish to attend one or more of the ‘ticketed’ Services you will need to book. The booking will be open from Tuesday 1st December.

Please note that it has been decided to hold the traditional ‘Midnight’ Mass on Christmas Eve at the earlier time of  9.00 pm.

We also want to stress that at present it’s not allowed for the congregation to sing  –  our Cathedral Choir will be back, to sing the carols for us.
