Special Services
Throughout the year there are Special Services in addition to the regular Festivals. These include commemorative services such as Holocaust Day, Memorials for Children and Young Persons, and others. Details of these will be announced here, as and when dates are published.
Festivals
Festivals – chiefly Christmas and Easter, celebrate the most significant times in the Christian Calendar. In all parts of the World, these festivals mark those moments, or narratives, which illustrate most clearly the Christian message. In the Cathedral, we hold a range of Special Services at these times of year, Carol Services, Christingle Services for children, Holy Week and Good Friday services often with guest preachers.
Other Festivals or particular days in the Christian calendar include Ascension Day, The Feast of St Woolos, and the start of Advent. Details will be published here in the lead up to Christmas and Easter, as well as to other Festivals and Special Services.
