Pilgrimages

St Thomas Way Pilgrimage

A new heritage route has been devised, inspired by a real medieval pilgrimage. The route goes from Swansea to Hereford, passing through 13 locations, each one rich in the history, culture and architecture of South Wales. One of these locations is Newport Cathedral itself, the main part of which was built in the 12th century.

More Information

There is a good collection of detailed information about each location along the route from the St Thomas Way website. There is an interactive map, a downloadable brochure and a short but informative video.

If you are planning to cover the route then we hope you enjoy your experience, sights and challenges along the way.
