St Martin In The Gaer
About St Martin's
Built in the late 1950s as a temporary worship centre for the people from the newly built Gaer Estate, the Church of St Martin-in-the-Gaer is the daughter church of Newport Cathedral. The congregation is small but faithful in their attendance.
Services at St Martin-in-the-Gaer
Eucharist (with hymns)
Sunday morning at 9.30 a.m.
During Lent, there is a Eucharist
Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m.
For people living on the Gaer Estate, the church is available for baptisms during the 9.30 a.m. Sunday service or later in the day.
Funerals can also be held there also but the building is not licensed for weddings.
