The Choir during lockdown

Soon after the Lockdown started, all Places of Worship were required to close their doors. Before long, Services were being streamed online, thanks to the readily available technology and the Internet. It was not long before choirs, all over the country and the world, were starting to use the technology to bring together the voices of each chorister from his or her own home, with the instrumental accompaniment, to bring ‘live’ music to their congregations and audiences.

In the Cathedral, Revd David Neale and the Director of Music Emma Gibbins worked with special video and audio software to create virtual soundtracks of our own choir, to be listened to and enjoyed during Sunday Eucharist. You can listen to some of these tracks using the audio players below
